Johnny Parker
Johnny Parker, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, was born into a family deeply rooted in faith and community service as the youngest of seven children to Reverend Eddie T. Parker, Jr. and Clara Clinkscales-Parker. He shares his life journey with his beloved wife, Laveta Parker.
With a passion for music and spirituality, Johnny pursued his calling and was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God In Christ. Currently serving as the Associate Pastor and Director of Music and Fine Arts at Rhema Fellowship Church, he brings over three decades of experience as a music industry professional, showcasing his talents as a bass guitarist, writer, composer, and arranger.
Johnny's expertise extends beyond the realm of music, as he is also a skilled event producer and artistic director. He holds a degree from John Carroll University and boasts 24 years of experience in Health and Human Services, where he has made significant contributions as the principal consultant for SHOCC, Ltd., focusing on community programming.
In his consultancy work, Johnny has collaborated with prestigious organizations such as Tri-C JazzFest, The Cleveland Orchestra, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, NAACP, and many others, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to enhance their programs and initiatives.
Driven by his commitment to spreading positivity through music, Johnny, alongside his wife Laveta Parker, founded the Good News Concert Series, a platform aimed at uplifting communities through gospel music. This collaborative effort reflects their shared dedication to spreading joy and inspiration through their music ministry.
Collaborating with Khirye Tyler of Blacksuit Music LLC, Johnny also co-founded the Red Hands Family Reunion Festival, an annual outdoor gospel fest that has become a cornerstone event in Cleveland, Ohio.
